Thank you and not a bad idea.

Alk - 9.7 dKh (running higher now)
Ca - 440 ppm
Mg - 1380 ppm
NO3 - 25 ppm
PO4 - 0.05 ppm
Salinity - 34 ppt
Temp - 77-78
pH range - 8.1-8.3

Ditched denitrator and Biopellets so going wild wild west with nitrates right now. Just skimmer, Gfo, carbon.

I do water changes now to the tune of 25% every couple months to inoculate my backup system with my old tank water and to remove detritus buildup in the frag tanks.
Which gfo brand are you using?

So a thought today. Is there any type of content or any type of picture people want to see? Open to suggestions this round as it’s almost time to pull out the camera again.

Side shots? Colony shots? Frag macro shots? Videos of the system? Videos of the display? Pics of fish?

Let’s have some fun. I’m open to suggestions.

Would be interested in getting some tips on how you take and edit your photos. Just started a couple days ago with my wife's DSLR and lightroom. I am having a lot of fun with it but man do I need some tips.

I’m no pro at editing. I just found a setup that works well with very little corrections needed so when I do get into Lightroom, all I usually need to do is mess with exposure, tweak white balance a hair, and clarity.

Absolutely. Though I will caution to say it is very specific to my setup and equipment.

I use a Nikon D5300 set on "Cloudy" White balance setting, with a Laowa 60mm lens (or Tamron 90mm lens if I want to get really close), with Opteka Brown Filter, with an Avast Marine Lookdown tube (short one), with the Radions set on AB+ and 2 actinic T5 bulbs and 2 B+ T5 bulbs.

I kinda want a 60mm macro. I have a Tokina 100mm, but it gets really close. Otherwise I'm using the kit 18-55. What mode do you shoot in normally? Manual, Aperture, Shutter? I'm mostly doing manual with 1/50-1/80 and F9-14

I always use Manual. I really like the 60mm. The Laowa one has 2x zoom so it gives me the distance I need for colony shots and in a pinch, gets me really close to my targets for a very nice macro as well. If I had to chose one lens to keep, it'd be the 60mm for its versatility for my shots.

Bulk brand from eBay... I buy 20lbs at a time.
Care to link to which one you usually get? I have been using BRS regular GFO but would like to change for something a little cheaper.
