I’m back! Vacation over, birthday over... it’s a New Year! I welcome 2021 gladly with open arms! Anything is better than 2020!

With that, a smattering of pics to start the new year right.

Backup system still rocking. Don’t mind the algae... it’s almost getting there. Once fully mature I’ll see less algae

Happy New Year Ty and a belated happy birthday. I never made it to 40, I just continue celebrating my 38th birthday over and over.

Question on your frag/growout/backup system flow. I don't see powerheads or gyres in the pics. Are you running a closed loop with sea swirls instead? How deep is that/those tank(s)?

I ask as I have 2 80G deep blues ( 4'X2'X 18" ) running a couple of opposed MP40s running under the racks. Once a week or so I come down to find the racks blown over and frags rolling around stinging each other.

Maybe I should just use big tiles seated on the bottom glass and go with gyres?

Forever young my man! I just run one gyre on the low boy tanks (4’x2’x10”). The depth really just limits me to gyres for flow. I enjoy the tile setup. Nothing moves it... not even pesky urchins.
