Gasp! Mine is perfectly secured to the floor of the fish room with some dusty old gravity I have in there. Whatcha have over the new frag tanks, or3 bars?
Is yours 9.8 m/s too? If so, I may give it a try too. :p

I found a deal locally on two Reefbreeder V2 48” that will work nicely since I’m keeping just LPS and anemones in one tank and the other will just be an overflow tank of random stuff.

Mardi Gras is beautiful! I got an amazing deal on this piece in a live sale last weekend. Can’t wait to grow it out.

Ive read a lot of speculation that the Mardi Gras and RMF Lucky Charms are the same coral. They certainly look different in your pics here.

That’s awesome! Where did you get the Mardi Gras from?

Yeah, buddy told me that too who had both and I was like, are you crazy? :p

Hey Ty,
I am seriously considering purchasing a 36in aquatic life T5 hybrid this weekend, but I had a question on the measurements of them. Bulk Reef Supply says that they are 18in front to back with the included bracket. Is the included bracket 18in or 16in? My tank is only 18in front to back, and I want to avoid light spill. Could you let me know what the measurements are from the front to the back but excluding the small plastic strips in the front and back? So just the edge of the front reflectors to the edge of the back reflectors? Sorry for the weird request.
Thank you so much!

I got it in Joker Corals live sale. It was less than half normal hobbyist cost!! I’m a live sale junkie lol. Especially when you figure out how to be fast in checkout. I’ve picked up some nice, discounted pieces that way from several different vendors.

Are both your colonies big enough to tell stark differences? If so, I’d like to here about the differences you see. AND....which one do you like better?;)

14 3/4” from back reflector to front reflector. The whole light is 18” like described and the two brackets on the left and right ends are 18” as well. I have the older one and not the fancy one so mine is more utilitarian looking.

That’s awesome! I wish I had time to do live sales but with the young kids, that’s not happening right now. Great find!

Calling them colonies is a great stretch. 1” branch with tons of encrustment and 1/2” branch with encrustment as well. Haha.

I love all my coral children the same. :D

I just want to confirm that this red length is the one you’re talking about:

I've been planning this complicated thing with 2x4s to do exactly this, and I never considered simple metal shelves! Where did you find ones
that fit your tanks exactly like that?
It’s a snug fit. Like the lowboys were built for them. Just got a black yoga mat and put the tanks on them before placing on the shelves.
