I have this 1kg unopened container I bought a while ago of Carbonate mix
when I search around im coming up with having to add trace elements.
can I not just use this for alkalinity mix.

I was currently using baking soda baked in the oven and making I gallon at a time.
I cant seem to find the amount to dissolve to make 1 gallon

thanks

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

There's no need to add trace elements to an alkalinity supplement, and it may not work out anyway, depending on what trace elements you are talking about.

Fauna Marin has some products that go with the balling method, which just includes some trace elements into the two part mixes. I wouldn't use it until I was 100% sure what was in it. Does the product have a label and list contents?

The Fauna Marin Carbonate Mix is what he is talking about i do believe... Hes asking if hes going to have to add the trace to it. I dont believe its a must... only if you are going with a triton type system. Fauna Marin has its own system like that does it not?
