From a 2008 build that's long gone.....

I love my clown goby and my rainfordii but my royal gramma has so much personality. It interacts differently with every fish in the tank. Honestly appears to have some sort of relationship with the baby yellow clown goby. It will let the baby goby perch on it. Also interacts often with the fire shrimp (they kind of sleep together.). And takes food from my hand. A lot of people don’t love them because they can be shy at first and are so common in small tanks.

When some people select their favorite fish they consider the visual appearance and interactive behavior whereas another perspective is to base the decision on utility and usefulness. A drab brown fish that maintains the reef tank can become very attractive!

Agreed. My rainfordi was a sweet addition for cleaning algae. It cleans my gorgonian so gently it’s doesn’t even retract its polyps while being cleaned.

Currently my tailspot blenny. Such a bold curious fish that should not be as fun as he is. Of all time I’d probably say foxface rabbitfish. Big puppy dog of a fish

Hey I'm just trying to get an idea what is everyone's favorite fish and why! Preferable fish that are good for a 40 gallon tank!
My Harlequin tusk
Pic will tell it all

In my tank? It's probably my firefish. One that I wish I could have? Flame angel.

Clowns & Anemone combo - hard to beat

Bicolor & Midas Blennys - tons of personality and fun to watch perch and poke around

If you have sand, Diamond Goby - tons of personality and very active
If only my clowns would take a liking to my anemone, haha.

Agreed. I have a Colorado Sunburst BTA (maybe 5 inches in diameter) in my 20g. It's been happy since day one. :)
