Any of the captive bred gobies will be easiest, though there are many easy wild caught goby species.

I don't believe stigmatura blennies form bonded prs. If the tank is larger than 4', then midas, starry, orange spot blennies are all possibilities.

For a single fish in a small tank like this, I'd hold out for a Magnificent Fan Shrimp Goby (Flabelligobius sp.)/shrimp pair, but they come available very rarely. However, you asked for favorite small fish, not nexessarily ones that are easily obtainable, so...

Another rarely seen option that I'd love for a small tank would be a Gulf Signal Blenny (Emblemaria hypacanthus), but they need a bit cooler water. Not catalina goby cool, like 70/72 degrees is perfectly fine. They're found in the Sea of Cortez:

Many of the fish being listed aren't really suited to a 10 gallon tank (including Clownfish). A Pink Streaked Wrasse would probably be number 1 on my list for visibility, some pest removal and just personality.
