Feeding pistol shrimp and goby pair

Currently feeding my ywg with pellets and mysis, how and what or if do i need to feed the pistol shrimp in particular or would i be good just feeding the tank. Also whats the symbiosis like with the pairs? Do the gobies feed the shrimp?

I used to watch my old Yasha spit food into the burrow but I don't see my YWG do that. The Shrimp and Goby both will grab food that falls nearby.

I have several pair of goby/pistol shrimp and I have wondered the same thing. I have never seen the shrimps eat but they have been thriving for several months now. The gobies must feed them in their burrows.

I just did a little bit of searching and research on this and it sounds like the Shrimp is a scavenger. It eats junk from the sand as it's cleaning out the cave.

A little older post, but I drop in a carnivore pellet every couple of days for my pistol shrimp. Usually I see the shrimp trying to come out from under the rocks, but the YWM pushes him back in, and the YWM will grab the carnivore pellet and bring it into the cave for him.
