So upon returning from vacation it was time to add fish to the mix. I had the LFS order some black ice clown fish for the tank. I go to pick them up and they are super small guys. The store had them for a couple of weeks and I knew they were eating and I trust the owner. However, These guys are so small when I watched them eat I noticed they were trying to bite pieces that were just too big. No Big deal I just blended the food into a puree almost and I am watching them eat pretty good now.

The question here is how often should I be feeding them? Currently, I am thinking 3 times per day. I work from home so this is not a big deal.

What are your thoughts about feeding frequency until these little guys get bigger.

I have posted a picture for you picture junkies out there.

I find small fish (and bigger ones) love liquid Calanus. I feed this at least once a day and all the fish go for it. Even “picky” eaters.
It helps that it doesn’t need to be kept in a fridge or freezer even after opening.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
