Thanks for the tip. I'll do some research but with the 90 elbows I have now I don't think I'll have the room for it.
You absolutely have the room to run a bean animal in the Fiji 1200gph overflow, I'm running it on my current setup.

I think you use 90 street elbows correct?
I was just at home depot on my way to get my son. Those are what I needed....however I bought 3/4 instead of 1" so ill go back tomorrow and get the right ones.

Hopefully these help.
So you do have one open siphon. The way I have seen it done is 2 siphons, one higher than the other, low one is main drain (which usually has gate or ball valve on it) and second is higher but below emergency drain and contains a vacuum break (usually a hole drilled into top of fitting) creating a partial siphon.

That's exactly how it is.

And how is that working for you? Have you always had it that way? Only issue is that you don’t have any safeguard for a snail or worse yet, a fish going down the open siphon. With the elbows, it’s a little harder for something to go down it.

I am wondering what is the internal dems. on the stand. just in case I cant get the sump with it and need to use a cheap petco tank.
I can get you exact dimensions this afternoon if needed but the stand is half inch plywood I think so that would make it 35x22 ish I believe.
I don't want to take over @ks2509 's thread any more, but due to the design of the internal weir this is highly unlikely.
Thanks for the pics I have an idea know of what I want to try. Just have to find the pieces I need.

Found what I was looking for at another homedepot on the other side of town. 2 90 degree street fittings and 2 regular 90s and boom.

Cabinet lighting has arrived. Electrician is coming tomorrow to run a new dedicated circuit. Hopefully finish the plumbing and glue everything this weekend and start the leak check.
