Fiji Cube Silencer

Has anyone used the silencer for the Fiji Cube ARF-20 roller filter.

How are they installed?

What "silencing" do they perform?

They’re installed pointing downward and lets the water travel down that more without the waterfall effect. Keep in mind that it’s still gurgly if you run it pretty fast. Just not as loud.
