I also like special grade. Fiji pink blew around a little too much with the high flow.
I bought the special grade initially, but it looked too corse for me to keep a goby as I was comparing to my 120. My 120 has mixed of super fine and looks like Fiji pink in it and it has no prob with moderate flow (I guess my 120 is fully packed)

I havnt had any issues so far. I have a decent amount of flow. with 2 MP10, 800gph return, a Nero5 clone running at its max 2500gph in a reefer 350

Here is what the Bimini pink looks like. Ignore my diatoms

In theory, I shouldnt have problem if I mix them up. I was worrying about that the smaller grain will somehow got kicked up by the pump. My set up is a reefer 350 as well.

Here’s my sand ... you may have to look hardish to see my wavemakers. They are current USA - the middle power ones ... (I really like them for the price)

Mine made a couple divots before my first sand siphon, but after that I was good ...

my power settings are 35% - 40% on the wavemakers ... and I think they are 1050 GPH, so they are pretty strong for what they are ... so I toned them down a bit

I've used both on previous tanks (separately)... I vote Special Grade especially if you vacuum the bottom for water changes.

+1 on the special grade for a mixed reef.

I agree. If i had to do over again, I would opt for the special grade over the fiji pink for a mixed reef; although, i do have some sand shifting, it's not over burdensome. :) And my tank is mainly for wrasses and coral.
