I noticed that the Magnesium and Calcium tubes that carry the solution from the holding containers to the doser and to the sump have a film inside. That is, the Magnesium clear tubing looks to have a dark grey film build-up. The Calcium tubing has a brown film. By the way, there is no film inside the alkalinity tubing. The film is inside the entire tubing - from the canister to the doser and from the doser to the sump. There does not appear to be any film in the holding containers.
I do dilute all three using Ro/Di water (TDS=0). The resulting solutions are 60% Ro/Di water.
Any thoughts on what's causing the film?
Is there a chemical reaction in play?
Is it a problem? Should the tubing be replaced (not an easy job)?
