Hi all, looking for recommendations on what other media to put in my AIO back filter chamber(s).
Right now its just filter floss in chamber one, and seachem matrix in chamber 2. I have extra amounts of matrix (bio media) to compensate the “small” amount of rock i have in display.
i have lots of space left and wondering what to fill it up with. Going to try no skimmer/refugium. Just media, as its only 25 gal and low bioload.

So far im thinking another biomedia (whichever you guys recommend) and purigen and phosguard.
Unless im recommended otherwise or these are a bad idea for whatever reason.
Thanks!!

I prefer quality well rinsed carbon tightly packed and some sort of phosphate remover. You can add a pinch of gfo to carbon in a bag or phosguard. You don't need more biomedia. Just make sure to keep it clean from debris and gunk.

The best way to keep the tank clean is to rinse out the filter floss daily (rinse or swap).
