Filtering a 20 gallon

Find a used aquaclear 70 or 110 if possible and you can use the pieces it comes with to modify it to be a hob fuge. Works great. I used just that on a 20H.

Does it / is it going to have live rock? If so, good water circulation and a bi-weekly 20% water change routine should do the charm.

I have a 20 long and used to use only Live rock and a Eheim HOB for running bags of carbon or chemipure when initially setup. That combined with regular water changes will probably be enough.

As my stock list has grown I've added a HOB skimmer as well.
