Well Guys! I got fed up with the skimmer. Just got the media basket for Chamber 1. I’ve used it before on the bicube.

The way it’s set now. Media Basket in Chamber 1. (Sponge, Carbon and Bio Rings). Temp probe and cheato in Chamber 2. Hole is blocked off. Heater in Chamber 3. Water levels are even.

So I ordered the media for the basket. Plan is Floss on top, Purigen in Center and Chemi Pure Blue in bottom with Bio Rings from stock filter.

What do you guys think? Do I need the purigen with Cheato. Opinions?

When I bought the skimmer I had a feeling I would go this route anyways? Anyways what I currently plan for media is on order. How does that sound to you guys?

If you are using chemipure blue, i dont think you need purigen. Blue has purigen in it. Elite does not. I'd not use bio rings, but if you have good history with it, go for it.
