It seems that the green pigments in Acans that are not mostly green are very light sensitive. The shaded areas tend to show the green pigments in the morphs I keep.

I think you are right, I have an orange acan that when I have it in minimum light it has A-LOT of green to it, but when I have it in higher light it is almost completely orange. If it's in just the right amount of light it's orange with green stripes, soooo sweet !

I can't get the stripes back though :( It's been months since I've seen those beautiful streaks  haha

Yep I would say so. Had one awesome piece with four different color turn to two colors because of light. I'd try and shade it for a good while and slowly the colors should come back. Left my piece in qt tank for two/three weeks with just actinics and it colored right back up.

yep, I notice the green on the dark side of the corals really pop!

On another note, my krugerand, orenji, desert sunset, whatever name you want to call it, develops a crazy nice green on the shaded side as well.............I got all my rainbows in a cave, they are poppin!
