Today I purchased my first Apex Controller and just before pulling everything out of the box I noticed so some white crust on one of the probes. The red one specifically, I took a few pictures and was wondering if anyone could tell me if this was normal or something I should worry about.

Here's some pictures for reference.

Looking forward to setting this up!
Thanks in advance

Yup, totally normal and expected, as long as there is still some liquid inside when you take the cap off.
pH and ORP electrodes need to be stored with the tip in electrolyte solution.
Hang on to those caps because you may need them again. :)
Enjoy your new controller! There's an awful lot to learn and it isn't all obvious from the start, but the effort is well rewarded.
