In the wild coral reefs are built upon layer and layer of dead coral skeletons. Why you see coral figurations in the rock we use.

Live rock is just a term we use to say the rock holds beneficial bacteria or living things such as corals. Inverts. Sponge. Ect.

Coral is an animal that is actually alive and is a little more evolved than a plant i would say. Like an animal with no brain. Lol

Flordia key rubble rock and some of the gulf rock is usually break off from storms. Why its rubble and round. Tonga is best. Flat shelf rock is usually man made. Bigger pieces are harder to find. Hths
