Yall have problems 😆And I guess I do now too. 2 months ago I bought a well used Red Sea Reefer XXL 425 V3A. I spent 15 hours cleaning it up so that my wife would allow it in the house. Added a reefmat 500 and gen2 6000 size pump, ato , etc to make a decent system.

Today I let my impulsive personality get the best of me and decided to order a brand new Waterbox Infinia 190.5 😬

I have come to quite like the Red Sea app for equipment management, so I think I’ll be decking the tank out with Red Sea equip minus the lights.

What lights should be looking at? And what UV light would yall recommend?

I prefer radions, running g4pros (XR-15’s) but actually gonna try out the Neptune skys I found NIB. I love my Radions, the look, control, and ease of the app. Will continue using the Radions at my office tank

Added some pics of some inverts and corals in my tank

Welcome to Reef2Reef, the greatest community out of water!

Oh the addiction runs deep, welcome to the club kid. Where the first rule of fight club is there are no rules.

I’m a huge fan of Ecotech lights. I also have a Red Sea skimmer and reef mat. I think those Red Sea products are super nice! I also have a Red Sea P500 tank.

Back to the lights, like I said I love the Ecotech lights. Since they came out with gen 1 they have been so good at growing corals it’s incredible. I personally run 4x G6’s on my tank. I love the power they have and the blending on the optics with the g6 is un matched. So good you don’t even need a diffuser. They are more expensive lights and you’ll want 4 of them over that tank if you’re doing sps. But the investment in my eyes is well worth it. Like everything else in this hobby, nothing is cheap. When it comes to lights, that’s the one area I won’t skimp out on. After all it only takes good water quality and good lighting to have a thriving reef.

Good luck on the decision and happy reefing!

Welcome!! My name is TJ and I it's been 2 days since my last,... reefing equipment purchase...

Yup... "problem"

😂

I ended up getting an Innovative Marine tank but I think I am one of the few to get and like Red Sea lights. I bought a couple of the 115's for it and I really like them.

Welcome! Go big or go home!

There are so many lighting options, but kessil are my favorite if you aren’t focused on budget options. Excellent shimmer and top tier coral color development: https://amzn.to/48JgHJA

Welcome to the forums.

I was a previous redsea tank owner, also switched to waterbox. I can't tell if you've added a 2nd tank, or are running away from the RS tank before potential disaster. If the latter, it left such a bad taste to me that I ditched all of my RS products.

I run a meridian light from reefbreeders, and a pentair UV.
