Hi all
This is my first tank and after some sound advice from this forum I have bought my first set up and am currently cycling now and looking forward to seeing how well I do.
set up includes
Red Sea 170
1 x mp10qd
1 x rfg on return
1 x dd heating controller
1 x titanium heater
1x bubble Magnus c3.5 skimmer
1 x reef factory level keeper
1 x tmc reef 2000 pump
1 x Red Sea 90 led
I have included a few photos they aren’t that good but gives a rough layout of the tank
Again any advice/ criticism you have good or bad will be great
Thanks again
Will

Hi Will
Your off to a great start. I would consider taking your controllers out of the sump which is a bad environment for electronics. I purchased a small side cabinet that is also great for supplies.

Hi John
Thanks for the reply I didn’t think of that!
I have a unit next to it I shall move them into there and set it up.
the only thing I wasn’t ready for were the amount of cables and power supplies everywhere took ages to tidy them

Hi Will
I did the same thing and had to redo all of the wires after reading a thread on moving them out of the sump area. While you’re at it I labeled all of my cables at the plug and soon at the power station When im reaching way down in the tank I need to turn the skimmer off or it will overflow and during water changes my ato alarm goes off ect. Nice to be able to quickly shut off items when doing maintenance.
