First timer with a macro lens

First time with a macro lens. Im using a Sony A6400 with a Tokina 100mm f2.8 lens. Ill be honest, I used the auto mode and switched to manual focus. I have little to no idea what im doing, still trying to grasp the basics. Still dont know how to properly use all the camera settings :grinning-face-with-sweat:. I use Adobe lightroom until it looks good to me, so dong be too harsh LOL! Feedback always welcome!

The site has a maximum picture upload size which is frustrating especially when dealing with some of the modern cameras. You just have to downsize when you upload unfortunately and yes it does affect the quality of the image.

You should be able to adjust the white balance on the A6400. I use this custom profile to adjust mine. Tweak it to whatever matches your tank.

When using macro lenses its very important to use a tripod, either with a remote shutter release or a 2 second delay to ensure a super sharp image. Also take pics front on, Distortion is a problem when shooting at an angle.

You can resize your pics in lightroom or photoshop, I normally save mine at 1000 pixels on the longest side.

you need to play with the WB on your camera. My setting for the WB is at 7000K
