I ordered two 2x54 watt Miro 4 retro kits from aquacave and 2 aqua blue special and 2 blue+ bulbs. They are out for delivery today. Unfortunately, I am in Maine for work. Won't be home until tomorrow night and Have a craft fair and a wedding Saturday. So the earliest I can rebuild the canopy to hold everything is sunday. :(

I am expecting great things from this lighting combo with the 3 kessil 360X. I am going to design and print different brackets for the kessils to bring them to the same level as the T5 bulbs. I am contemplating running an outlet just for lighting in the near future. It would be a nice convenience to have it separated from everything else

I didn't have time to setup the All4reef dosing before I left. I will get to that soon. I did, however, upgrade to a 32 gallon brute from the 20 for the AWC. This means I can have two weeks worth hooked up and two weeks mixing and ready to go.

When I redid the 3 printing station, I was able to move everything to the circuit with the overhead lighting and the one outlet that has hardly anything on it behind the 12 footer. I am much more comfortable with the power draw on that circuit now since the only thing on it is 3 printers and low draw led tubes and two 6 watt power heads.

I will update the current tank pics and stuff when I get home and caught up.

My wife has been keeping on the feeding schedule for me since I didn't get the auto feeders setup and tested before the trip.

Lots happening. All the best with the travels back home and the craft fair this weekend. Try not to be yourself and maybe you'll get some new customers.

Onward and upward!

Maybe if I am myself they will think there’s something wrong with me and make pity purchases.

Ok gang I’m home. Terrible trip to begin with the. Had, get this: 14 delays, gate changes and missed connecting flights. I finally got home at midnight.

Here is a sneak peal of a major upgrade.

Ready to paint the new canopy. This thing is gonna be pretty trick. Lots of custom printed brackets, power supply mounts and wire clips. It will have 12” of travel up and down.

Hopefully have it painted tomorrow and then hung up Saturday.

Going to my son’s house tomorrow to help part out another bullnose and snag some parts for my truck. The full color change of the interior could be done by end of day Sunday. Then the flatbed.

Some more sanding to do. The pockets are for the t5 ballasts.

If you look close the screws sticking out can be removed and the screws hole canopy slides off the brackets and you only have to unplug one cord

Opened the second kit to install it and the end caps are missing! Dang it.

Called and aquacave said they would get me a shipment out asap.

Good customer service from them always.

Might be setting up a frag system to keep some in for a buddy to make it easier for folks in this area to buy from his business. He would deliver once or twice a month and that way customers won’t have to pay shipping just pick them up.

If I do I’ll finally finish the frag tanks @Lowell Lemon ! lol.

While I wait for the end caps to come in, My wife and I went to Lowes and bought, new cabinets, two doors, trim, a range, microwave, sink, faucet and ordered counter. She's picking up paint tomorrow. Good thing I am on PTO this week!

I have 9 days to remove everything, move two outlets, paint the kitchen, dining room and hallway, paint and hang the cabinets and the two doors and paint all the trim. (trim won't go in until the flooring in about 4 weeks).

We bought all the flooring at one time so it's sitting here waiting for my next round of PTO, 3rd week of December.

So, in less than a year, we will have gutted the living room, hallway, dining room and kitchen and put it all back together in time for family Christmas. We even installed a home theater with in wall speakers and replaced the living room windows. The only thing we paid for help with was some of the drywall finishing after I hurt my knee.

I AM EXHAUSTED! lol

Tick tock... tick tock, mister. Hope you're moving through your projects well enough to have them all done within your 9 day timeline.

Well…. Ran into some serious electrical issues but got them sorted. I should finish everything except the cabinet paint in the 9 days.

The end caps came in and I plan on finishing the canopy soon.

My wife and her sister got on the cabinet painting. One more day and that will be done. The hardware showed up today and we are just waiting for the counter top and backsplash to show up.

What does this have to do with reefing? If I don’t have the rest of my life in order, reefing takes a back seat. So any progress on this is a step toward more reefing updates.

Sometimes a guy just has to crack the whip on his wife. I get it.

Looking forward to seeing the before and after pics of all the updates!
