EB8 makes a buzzing noise but powers up the apex unit. I don't trust the EB8 to be honest so I am not going to use it. I have an apex and an EB8 and a breakout box I built.

I am going to gather up all the apex stuff I have extra, including the Neptune and chemicals and post them.

Maybe someone has use for them.

It can be my first tank was a 650 gallon I did a few years ago. I moved to Colombia so I broke it down and it is sitting in my house for sale.

Cleaning up my office mess from all this stuff today. Hopefully will get the tank cleaned and at least slid out of the way.

No interior work today. Weather still not good.

The good thing about not selling everything yet is, I have options. I have a choice of three return pumps, 7 powerheads, 4 heaters and controllers, and several different lights.

If I could just sell the tank, stand and sump it would really be helpful at this point.

Sump cleaned. Looks so much better. Photo incoming.

I have an issue with the way this tank has to be plumbed. There is a 1.5" drain and a .75" return bulkhead. I hate only having one drain even if it is huge.

I am not averse to putting the return over the top and using the 3/4" as a safety but I would also like to take the 1.5" down to a 1" so I can control the noise via Herbie method.

A full siphon 3/4" bulkhead will flow 600-660gph. I don't plan on flowing that much to begin with. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 450-500gph.

Thoughts?

Looks brand new!!!
Thanks. I filled it with warm water and three cups of citric acid powder, soaked for an hour then terry cloth wipe down. Citric acid works miracles.

So have yall ever seen a stand absorb so much water that it weeped onto the floor when you moved it? All four legs.

Needless to say I am building a new stand. lol. The extrusions, brackets and magnet catches for the panels will be here this weekend.

The bottom of my stand was pretty rotten, but it didn't weep any water! That is insane!

I want to give a shout out to @flippercleaner

These guys customer service is awesome

I ordered the new invisilid because from the original description a small would fit the cube. They made a mistake and changed the website to correct it. However I had already ordered.

This morning right before lunch I emailed them and they already have shipped enough parts to make the lid fit the cube.

That’s how you should do customer service folks.

The wood was weeping? I bet it was fine before but found out it was going to your house and wept!

Going to reduce to 1” for the main drain for a few reasons and use the 3/4” as emergency.

This will give a lot more room in the overflow for maintenance as well. It was really crowded in there before despite how big the overflow is.

I have ordered the last couple things I need to setup the system. Sand and new bulkheads. I don’t reuse them.

That is as long as I can find the tub of silicone hose I had. Good grief! I lost a 27gallon sterilite container. lol

I used a brush and a red pad on the overflow and it wouldn't come completely clean.

Also, someone epoxied a plug to the back wall and I am afraid I will break the glass getting it off.

I guess I couldn't glue a frag to it after the tank stabilizes and cover it up that way.

I don't want to do GSP as it'll take over the wall. Maybe a hammer, torch or Monti cap...

BTW, supplies for the stand and the desk/workbench extension will be here today. Hoping to have the old tank moved and this one in its place by Sunday.

The way I decided to place the tank it will be viewable from 3 sides and the panels will all come off making for much easier maintenance.

UGH! They sent the wrong size and color of extrusions!

I ordered from Amazon this time to get them faster. But they cost a bit more. Be here Sunday.

The good news is they gave me a 50% refund and said keep them. Fair enough. No idea what I am going to do with a bunch of 6 foot long black 2020 but I am sure something will present itself. lol
