Fish building/man cave build!

I caved. BRS has a pre black friday sale going on.

I put in a cancel request through paypal since i hadn't gotten an update on the K7 and ordered the Radion XR15 G6 Pro. 🤯
I have heard a few complaints over the years from people who have had difficulty getting their orders from Noop. For a while they had a US based rep who filled state sode orders and he had a presence on here, but IIRC he was injured pretty severely in an accident and became far less active on here.

I got the wiring neatened up a bunch and did away with a few things for now.

I will get the wire looking better and labeled soon.

I also got the uv setup and dialed in at 8 seconds for 1000ml which is smack in the middle of the recommended flow rate for killing Dinos.

It’s a two valve system with a T on the return line so no separate pump. Just turned up the return pump 3 notches. I may go faster and the. Adjust the uv valve back down.

I will leave the cover off for a couple days to make sure there are no leaks or other issues.

Now we wait patiently for Dinos to go away.
I thought you were running the Vecton UV on the reef tank. It looks like you changed it up. Also, that loop makes me nervous. Maybe I need to up my meds though.

All this new equipment you're splurging for makes me think you hit the lottery and didn't mention it.

Nope, but since the laser/3d/cnc work has paid for all the equipment, I am putting the money now into a remodeling fund and splurging some on equipment.

Sherry agrees that I need to get the reef setup to where I don't stress. I don't stress one bit about the planted tanks and she wants me to enjoy the reef just as much.

I was the first stateside retail rep for them. They sponsored the marine lighting in my store. Their service and communication was excellent. After Angie (I am sure that was an americanized version of her name) left, it all went to pieces. We had 65 of their fixtures and, unfortunately, I didn't save a remote for the one pro II that I wound up getting back.

I loved the Radions on my tank for about 4 years...Switched to kessils only on the new tank we swapped this Labor day weekend..
But still have my eyes on the ATI Staton X...

I have been a kessil or noopsyche guy for a long time. Ever since I quit building them. I even did some testing for Orphek at one point to help straighten out the issues the early bars had. (I still have some strips and power supplies)

So this will be a different animal all together for me.

I saw a buddy's setups at his house with AB+ settings the other day and knew.

Rad's are a good light, I just needed a change and I wanted a clean open top on this new tank.
I did not want a cabinet on top of the new tank.
I do like the kessils shimmer and the color of blue and white mixture.
I have the red and green turned off right now.
If I get the Statons x it will be even cleaner they are only about 3/8 thick

With the floating acrylic canopy, I get a good clean look but can swap out lights and not change the outside look of the tank setup. I understand about wanting the lights to not show.

I built a motorized bar that lifts the lights and the u channel bar they are on from 12 inches off the tank top to almost 3 feet off the tank top.
Mortorized unit is mounted on the left side of the tank where the big over flow box is.
I have pics on my thread.

Plants came in. Got way more than I expected and they are all healthy with decent roots.

Let’s see how they do

Hoping to get some fish this weekend.

Oh I forgot to post a pic of one of the tumblers for the market Saturday.
