Fish compatibility

I have a red sea 350, and wanted to see if its possible to have multiple yellow wrasses and how many , primary would like several so they can hunt for pests. Heard the six line can be a jerk, so I'm not sure if it will be possible to keep him if I get yellow wrasses.


I have :
2 naked clowns
1 yellow tank
1 cardinal fish

fish I'll be moving from my 20 gallon stocked tank
1 six lined wrasse
1 black damsel

Sixlines don't play well with other wrasses. If you keep him, then no more wrasses.

Most wrasses don't do well with others of their own species. So you would be better off doing a variety of compatible species instead.

Don't try a sixline with any wrasse that you care about. They are, however, great pest hunters themselves.

If I were to re home the six lined wrasse, how many yellow wrasses could I house in the same tank?

Get multiple specimens of different species. Multiples of the same species isn't recommended.

Personally I would go with 2 or 3 different species of Wrasse. They are some of the most beautiful fish we keep.
