I don't, but I can order one, it'll just take a few days. Though I wonder if my local stores have one... I live in a really small town, away from other towns lol.I'm sorry. :(

It's called "Aquarium Note" And it's a free download from the Google store. Can I ask what app your using with that calendar?
Do you have a walmart? Regular air pump and airstone. Like for freshwater tanks.I don't, but I can order one, it'll just take a few days. Though I wonder if my local stores have one... I live in a really small town, away from other towns lol.
Not here, no. But I'm going to check our local feed store... They have a bunch of animal stuff there.Do you have a walmart? Regular air pump and airstone. Like for freshwater tanks.
If you did not smell rotten egg - when it is not likely that H2S was the direct cause. However - if it was in your sand it would been oxidated fast (consuming oxygen) and hence a secundary cause to the real problem - lack of oxygen as Abhishek suggest.
Sincerely Lasse
Do you have a PetCo close, they carry airstones. Just a thought. Sorry for your loss.I don't, but I can order one, it'll just take a few days. Though I wonder if my local stores have one... I live in a really small town, away from other towns lol.
It's about 45 minutes away give or take. I have one coming though. As of right now, everything (except the one anthias) is doing better. The one anthias I think will be hit or miss on survival...though he's coming out a bit more. I also started dosing stress guard to alleviate whatever is hurting him.Do you have a PetCo close, they carry airstones. Just a thought. Sorry for your loss.
I definitely think it was a mix between toxins from the refugium and the suspended matter consuming oxygen. My temp was spot on and my brute can was clean.... And my water is from my rodi unit. Both my fox face and my anthias were rapidly breathing and sort of panicky. Sigh. Lesson learned right? Next week I'll be shop vaccing the sump and starting that over with a better set up. Hopefully that'll take care of any toxins I may have had in there. Some possibilities:
- Toxins released from sandbed
- Mixing bucket- Any chemicals or other in that bucket (a family member maybe used it without your knowledge?
- Water temp cooler or colder than tank temp
- Was this tap water with fluoride or other elements
- suspended matter consuming available oxygen+
Fox faces are so cool. Definitely a loss. My anthias I think, hopefully, is doing better. He's not hiding anymore and he's eating. [emoji16] crossing my fingers.I lost my fox 2 days ago after scraping an algae film off the back glass. Mine died within 20 min. I thought I was gonna lose my yellow tang too, but he seems fine now. Not sure what the cause of death was though.
It would have smelled like rotten eggs.I honestly don't smell a whole lot. My tank is a bit more smelly than it ever has been before, but I have definitely smelled worse lol. You have to get really close to the water to smell anything.
Everything checked out well with the fresh saltwater. Same temp and salinity... Mixed well.It would have smelled like rotten eggs.
So I assume you checked the fresh water before adding it to make sure it was all mixed well.
