Fish disappearing any thoughts?

Hey guys so a while back I picked up a leopard wrasse from someone else's tank. Two weeks ago it disappeared , I was bummed out but I knew that leopards are finicky. What struck me as odd, is that this guy was eating like a pig and no one was picking on him . Yesterday I was feeding my fish and I saw my Midas Blenny who lives in a barnacle, he looked very healthy and ate a lot. I've had this fish for over a year , fast forward to today , he's gone too. No bodies anywhere. Tank has a lid on the top.
What can this be? Anyone has any ideas ?

Do you have any crabs, no hermit, or anemone's in your tank. Or a large fungi, plate coral. May have a mantis shrimp. I started missing some gobies and caught my fungi with a fish tail hanging out of it's mouth:(

Not recently, I do have a big fungia but my goby never swims around it . How would I find a mantis ?

Any large starfish i just saw my red brittle catch and eat my clown.

if you have a mantis you will hear clicking every so often, you will also have issues keeping snails, hermits and shrimp as a mantis loves to eat them.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I don't have any large starfish in the display, but I do hear an occasional clicking sound. I'll start checking for mantis. And hopefully it isn't a bobbit worm, that would suck indeed.

i have had the same problem put new fish in tank just was gone really made a puzzle for me but when i tore tank found i had a pest in the live rock killed 3or4 fish before i decided to tear down get to the answer finally a brisstle worm found in live rock when small no problem took 5 years to grow to start attacking fish

did you check your water? bad water conditions can stress a fish enough that opportunistic infection can kill it. The bodies are usually taken care of by the CUC before you can see it.

The water parameters are pretty good, it's a mixed reef so everything is usually spot on. But I am suspecting it to be some type of a worm or a crab, I'm going to set up a trap tonight and see what turns up.

yup , my tiny coral banded shrimp , won't be able to catch him until i break down my tank . now my moonlights are on all night , this helps the fish see, so he doesn't sneak up on them unexpectedly.
