These are a species of Cardinal I believe from the genus Apogon.
Well they are in QT for now. Need to get them to adapt from live brine to frozen then pellet food hopefully over the next week or so.These are a species of Cardinal I believe from the genus Apogon.
In terms of what species, it’s hard to say when geuren stressed and discoloured, have you got photos of them when in an established system and feeling secure?
If I were in the states, I’d say bang on. But being in Hong Kong, we don’t have any biota raised fish at all. This a match for your new additions?
BIOTA Seale's Cardinalfish
Biota Seale's Cardinalfish The Seale's cardinalfish (Ostorhinchus sealei) is relatively rare in the trade and even harder to obtain as captive-bred. These super hardy captive-bred specimens from Biota are great for reef aquaria of all sizes. In larger tanks, they may be kept in small shoals!www.algaebarn.com
That was just a picture example of the fish. I’m sure they are collected from the wild and sold from other vendors as well. You can use a search engine for the name (Seale’s Cardinalfish). If I were in the states, I’d say bang on. But being in Hong Kong, we don’t have any biota raised fish at all.
For marine related stuff, you’d hate how we keep things. As apartments are minuscule, those that have fish tanks overstock like crazy. That was just a picture example of the fish. By the way, I’ve heard Hong Kong is amazing and have it on my wish list for travel someday.
