These are a species of Cardinal I believe from the genus Apogon.

In terms of what species, it’s hard to say when geuren stressed and discoloured, have you got photos of them when in an established system and feeling secure?

Well they are in QT for now. Need to get them to adapt from live brine to frozen then pellet food hopefully over the next week or so.

If I were in the states, I’d say bang on. But being in Hong Kong, we don’t have any biota raised fish at all.

That was just a picture example of the fish. I’m sure they are collected from the wild and sold from other vendors as well. You can use a search engine for the name (Seale’s Cardinalfish).

By the way, I’ve heard Hong Kong is amazing and have it on my wish list for travel someday.

For marine related stuff, you’d hate how we keep things. As apartments are minuscule, those that have fish tanks overstock like crazy.

BUT, pricing wise you’d be shocked. Black tangs the equivalent of USD1,000, flame angels USD90 etc.
