Have seen this picture many times on the LiveAquaria homepage but have not been able to figure out exactly what this fish it is:

Can anyone educate me on what it is?

Thanks!

Anampses femininus or blue striped tamarin wrasse. Gorgeous, ain't she?!! I actually have an LFS trying to source one for me. I can't wait! :)

Thanks! Yeah, very stunning fish. If I ever get a 60+ gallon tank I'd very seriously consider having one. Although, now that you enlightened me on what it is and I've had a chance to look up a little info on it, I have no doubt my wife would kill me in my sleep if I ever spent that my $$$ on a fish.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. And good luck in your effort acquire one - please post pics if you succeed!
