Fish ID. WHO ARE YOU!?

Asked for a tail spot blenny at the Fish store today .. and I'm not sure that's what it is. The color, fins and face shape all seem off.
I'm not even sure it's actually a blenny... Maybe it is but I'm unconvinced.
I live over an hour from the store so it's home now either way but I could really use another opinion, Id hate to not be feeding it what it needs.
I'll try and get a better pic after acclimating is finished.

Looks like a blenny, goby, or maybe even a dottyback. Best to remove and place in the bottom of a white 5g bucket for more pictures for ID.

I’d have to agree with this^^^

Even on initial look at your pics, I was leaning dottyback

The winner is definitely elongated dottyback! Also my neon dotty hates him, unless they find some peace one may have to go lol. Thanks for the help!

That appears to me like it’s a Pseudochromis elongatus as well. These guys are the most peaceful of dottybacks and worth more than a tail spot is. I would be passing on the Splendidus.
