This fish was sold as a dwarf hawkfish. But after I got it home I could find one online that looked like it. Maybe because it's not an adult?

Its a geometric pygymy perchlet, plectranthias inermis. Its actually a species of anthias/serranid rather than hawkfish

Yea i have one and hes very fun to watch. They are a little cryptic so its fun to look for him and when he does come out its even cooler.
