Fish not eating in QT

I haven’t seen my clown which has ich eat in about 3 days since I put it in a QT. Along with my diamond watchman goby. The goby kinda freaked out the first two days of being in QT and he usually hides all day. Neither of them have eaten but the other clown I have in the QT is eating just fine. The goby hasn’t shown any signs of ich. I appreciate any help

Copper is both an immuno suppressant and an appetite suppressant what level are you running your copper at

There are some some things you can try.
1). Whatever food you are currently feeding try adding selcon or other feeding enhancer. Seachem has entice(banana flavor extract) and garlic guard. Brightwell also carries a few.
2). Try live brine or worms

3). Diced fresh clams from the grocery store.

^^ I agree what copper are you running? How are you testing? What level is your copper at?

I am using sachem cupramine, testing with copper solution and color palette comparison, and the test kit is hard to get an accurate reading but it is somewhere between .5 ppm and 1.0 ppm. LFS told me to dose it up to 2.0 ppm but from what I’ve read that’s not correct

Correct .5 is minimum therapeutic levels so I would try to keep it closer to that to avoid any negative side effects. I would recommend the Hanna high range copper tester, it makes copper a breeze. BRS sells it along with extra reagents as it only comes with 6.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll have to order one of those testers. I’ll also have to try different foods and flavors. But they don’t even show any interest in the food. I really don’t want them to starve to death. Thanks for the tips
