I do have feather dusters. What will it do to them?

It will kill worms, which also is likely your target (in the fish). If you are hesitant about dosing the tank, put him in a basket, feed him a lot to get him eating and then start feeding him food that has been soaked in prazipro. Then it is more targeted at just your fish. Make sure he is already eating though before you try this.

Well dont have to worry about female picking on the male anymore bubble tip ate the female. Sad day. Most expensive meal ever. Platinum clown.

Had female in a breeder container in the display so lfs recommended to put bubble tip in with her so she was comfortable so got a new one saturday and did so then didnt feed it for the normal wait a day or so to feed the anemone. Well guess it was hungry :-/

Now what to do with male pair with a new female or trade him for the male and buy female at store? Any info is needed. Or can i pair him with a diff type of clown?

Should i get rid of the anemone? Cant afford another loss. Could careless bout money its the pet i lose

The only way an anemone will kill a clownfish is if the clown is already sick or the anemone is actually a host anemone mimic. As for repairing the male clown, you can put any juvenile of the same species with him and they should pair up. The dominant one becoming the female and the subdominant the male.

Nope... The Clown has a prewired defense against the anemone even knowing the clown is a fish at all. It can't eat something if it doesn't know it's there. Besides, an anemone gets more than 90% of its food through sunlight.

I'm confused... so you don't want to kill worms with the feather duster even though you want to kill worms in a clown?

sent from my phone.

The feather duster is a worm.

Yeah, it's possible they both had internal issues prior to you buying them and it showing up around the same time. What's your water quality like? Is the aquarium new at all? Could be a combination of things that caused all this.

Yeah, if they gave that kind of warranty on livestock they would go out of business.

No I understand. Didn't mean it that way. Just stinks. But now trying to see what to do. Cause hes tiny lol. So new fish will have to be big or wait for it to get bigger.? Cause he should be the male. But if by time i get a new fish weather a new Platinum or just a percula. Turns female it cant change back right?

You don't need a bigger fish to introduce to the little one. Another little one would actually be best. I would get yours healthy first though. And, yes once a fish becomes female it can't change back, so two females is the worst case scenario for trying to get a pair. Like others have already said praziquantel is best for internal parasites. Have you started treating the little guy yet?
