Hello Reef2Reef! Yesterday, we wrapped up the Dwarf Angelfish tournament! So without further ado, here are some stats and the results!

Number of fish competed: 32
Total number of votes: 510
Biggest blowout: Potter’s VS. Purple Masked 15-0
Closest match: Barred VS. African Flameback 11-10

The Result:
The “Holy Grail” of fish, the Peppermint Angelfish, narrowly won the championship by beating out the Fan Favorite Angel, the Potter’s Angelfish, in a 16-14 vote. Let’s look at the path it took to win!

Round 1: Peppermint VS. Solar Flare Flame 14-4
Round 2: Peppermint VS. Golden 20-6
Round 3: Peppermint VS. Flame 10-9
Round 4: Peppermint VS. Japanese 11-5
Round 5: Peppermint VS. Potter’s 16-14

It was a close one, but the Peppermint was able to beat out the Potter’s to win this championship! Let’s give it some credit!

Honestly I’d say this is one fairly overrated fish. They’re just a bit boring if I’m honest. I’d rather spend money on a peppermint hogfish or similar species than this.
