when I first started in the hobby, back in the 80's, I had a 8" white mouth moray, two 10" snowflakes and a 8" volitan lionfish. It was a striped cleaner (L. amboinensis). It molted, had eggs (i only had it a few months alone in my tank), was a little listless; then died :T From molt to death was only a few daysSorry to hear about the shrimp what type.

I tried feeding nori long ago and my herbies showed no interest. now I have some small patches of green stuff growing on the rocks they pick at and I'll grab some out of the algae scrubber for them to eat.The chromis started and all the other fish followed suite.
You could try nori with habd above the water and slowly work into the eater. Greens are almost impossible to resist for a foxface my kole could care less
