Fish you wish you never added?

Mine would be the pair of blue damsels i started off with in my 150... they ended up tearing into my Vlamingi and Yellow tangs... i think they even killed one of my yellow tangs

+1 on the damsels! Hate those stinking fish. I do however like the azure versions of them.

6 line wrasse,if I hadn't put that dang thing in there,I could add some of the beautiful wrasse to my tank

ill second that, i got one with an already setup tank and he killed many of his tank mates before i could get him out. he was big and it was is tank, so i guess he had reason in his mind. later much to our shegrin we decided to get a very small one after talking to a lfs employee, we then got an ORA Neon dottyback and an ORA orchid dottyback, both tank raised and very sweet, the neon would let you pet him and he seemed to like playing with our hands, then the small wrasse killed both...ARRRRRRGH

Man, there are a lot of sixline wrasses haters here, haha. I took mine out just to be able to add some of the beautiful wrasses. Best fish move I've made with my tank to date.

Spotted grouper.

Ended up killing my first lionfish.

Also chromis. I ended up tearing down my whole tank to get to them, their colors just seemed to clash in my mind.

Yea...except they get really boring sooner or later.

They also never really looked like they belonged in there either.

I remember leaving an intake cover off my filter once after cleaning everything. The next morning, all my chromis were gone. After about a five minute freakout, I went to clean out my canister filter (I was 12 when this was going on, give me a break) and to my surprise found all my chromis alive and well inside the canister doing laps. Impossible to kill those things.

mine would have to be my blue eye tang that i am currently trying to catch.. biggest a hole fish ive ever had.. almost killed my clown tang

not sure of this fits the criteria or not but. On an impulse with out researching the fish i bought this wrasse.

only to find out it will grow 11 inches. what am I going to do with an 11 inch fish in a 90gal tank.

I bet you could have utilized a fishing rod and a baited hook to catch that sucker to avoid you having to tear down your whole tank.

lol i did that to catch a red coris and a red fairy wrasse all they did was turn upside down my frags until one day i just fished them out with a sabiki hook

Mystery wrasse... I've never had a more aggressive 'reef safe' fish. Killed one leopard (transitioning female bipartitus) and tried to kill another (got the male ornatus out before he had a chance). That all happened within 2 days of upgrading tanks (no one had a territory-all started at the same time-one day was all he needed...). It's killed numerous Banggai cardinal babies and the parents haven't had any more broods since I fished him out of the 280 and put him in the frag tank (130)... Pretty fish, but I'll never own another.

Diamond watchmen goby in a 65gal reef - trapped it easily with a bottle trap and some new live sand after it had decimated the sandbed.

Engineer Goby. He came with the tank I did not add him. The sand bed was all his,he spent more time rearranging the sand bed,drove me nuts. I could not put anything in the sand. It was either buried or toppled. Glad to see him go.

Don't get me wrong I have had several sixline's before and one of them was a good fish, the others just weren't.
