Thanks! I saw your mentioning getting the torches in the thread. How’re they working out? I love torches but I’m trying to decide if I can squeeze a couple in or not.
The trucks of the torches were covered in boring spionid worms. I did a dip of CoralRx and Bayer. It didn't kill them. I didn't want my new tank to have these pests. I didn't keep them. I gave them to my neighbor.

Sorry to hear that. I’ve been lucky so far with my purchases. Where were they from? So I know who to avoid.
I did hit Coral Stop’s anniversary sale

You are so sweet. It is very kind of you to ask. The tank is well. The NO3, PO4, Kh, etc are still the same. The brown algae on the sand is still present. All the fish are behaving. The branch rock I received last week is still showing NH3 at .025ppm. I have been doing water changes every day on the rocks.

My original plan was to hang the ATI T5 from the ceiling before the tank was installed. I would have liked the clean look of just the fixture over the tank. My husband said it was not possible due to a AC vent running above the tank. I had planned to install the 60" ATI T5 fixture over the tank yesterday, since he is back from FL. I need help getting it on the conduit poles over the tank. My plan was to install the light on the EMT conduit poles, and this summer I would build a canopy (to help disguise the conduit). I weighed the fixtures yesterday. The ATI is 37 pounds, plus I added two LED bars to the ATI unit. Putting the weight of the lights at 57 pounds. My husband said he doesn't trust the (2) 1" EMT conduits holding the unit, and that it's ugly. 😕

I didn't realize until I looked at my post that I received the branch rock on May 5th. There is a small bit of hair algae from the light on branches. I do a 100% water change daily. The water has been reading for two weeks:

QT rock info.......
NO3 Salifert: 0
PO4 Salifert: 0.1
Ammonia Imagitarium Petco: 0.25

Do you think it's safe for me to place in my DT?

For future reference, ivermectin is wonderfully effective against coral boring spionids. The cow/sheep de-wormer from the farm store, 1% injectable stuff. 12-16 drops per quart of tank water, dip them for an hour. Those worms will be dead. It is very gentle on corals too. I dip acros like that and have not once even had them get upset about being dipped.

Might want to get your no3 up a bit. It will help. You could peroxide scrub the algae off before you place it, or just leave it for your herbivores.

Thank you so much! Wish I knew that sooner.

These pieces are just in a tank by themselves 'baking' and you're just doing water changes to flush them, correct? If so, the PO4 seems a little high but if I remember correctly this is a small batch you are adding to an established tank. If it has been reading exactly the same for two weeks, with daily water changes, I would say they are what they are going to be. Maybe peroxide the hair algae but otherwise, I'd go for it.

They were bought "live" rock but were not submerged in water when shipped. They have been in a QT tank that was setup for just the rocks. Didn't want to move them if it isn't safe for the main DT. Okay I will move them to DT if you think it's okay
