This popped up on my list for youtube today. Anyone every ran anything like this before?

Apparently the guy has ran these for years and never needs to service them.







Thought it was interesting, might work well for a softy tank,

Might try it out on my 20 long.

I missed the video where he adds crushed coral and live rock rubble to the canisters.

I'm guessing it works similar to a remote deep sand bed. Higher flow through some parts and low flow through others.

I'm surprised the whole thing doesnt clog with dirt/detritus....Would love to have this guy get on here and give us more details of the whole system....

I could see this working on tanks that are lightly stocked. I'm not so sure how well they would handle a high fish load.

But you never know, could work.

I think I would add a ball or gate valve on either end, just so I could stop flow and take it out if needed
