Did you look in the sump, and under any furniture within about 10 feet of the tank. I had a fish go missing and it was under a couch which sits about 5-6 feet from the tank.

No cat so that’s out the window. And I can see between my rocks

Likely if it didn't jump out it died in your rock, you can do a tear down if you really are concerned and want an affirmative answer

It's remarkable how quickly a fish carcass can be reduced to nothing - a day or two will usually do it.

check your overflow if you have one

i had a sixline wrasse that got spooked and i thought i lost her. looked in sump, in and around tank for a couple days, then gave up. one night i heard a little splash and thought what the heck was that, then looked around and heard it again coming from the overflow. Shined a light in there and sure enough! there she was swimming up and down refusing to go down the pipe. She must have been feeding on the tube worms and such in there.

my over flow is 6 x 6 x 24 so the poor gal was pretty restricted in there
