Hello. I have a DIY wooden stand in a fish room so cosmetics aren't a concern. So I am wondering if anyone sees a problem using flashing tape along the bottom of the tank and over the stand to help keep any water from going under the tank. I hope that makes sense. I have a roll leftover from a deck build and was just trying to seal up as much as possible. My concern was any chemicals in the glue interacting with the silicone seals on the glass tank. I tried a search but all I saw was a lot of post about flashing fish.

That might work. Don't see any issues using it other than it not sticking long term. A better solution might be to caulk it with silicone.

Thanks. Should have mentioned, it is sitting on a sheet of 1/2 polystyrene on top of plywood. I guess I could get a large enough bead of it across but was thinking this may be easier.
