Hey does anyone know if you can splice a 12v car battery in a mp40? Buddy of mine said I could with either an mp or gyre. Thoughts?

I have a little harbor freight 400W generator. i'm wondering how much I can run on it.
i'm hopping my window AC and the main recirculation pump.
I got my numbers all wrong. It is a 900w generator and the AC unit is 550w so I think I'm ok.Window AC units have two watt ratings: starting wattage and running wattage. Starting wattage is higher because as the machine starts up and the motor begins to turn, amperage spikes as the motor draws higher current to overcome inertia and starting friction. A typical starting wattage for a window unit is 2200. Once the motor is running steadily, the amperage drops and the wattage usually is around 1500. Your unit may have different ratings. Examine the nameplate or the specifications in the manual to determine how much power your AC unit uses.
:(I am going to get screwed in this one... I might loose everything if it stays on the current track, if not by the wind it will be by the flooding.... :(:(:(:(:(:mad:
Be careful!!!! :eek:Yes.
But like a dumb A**, I have chosen to ride it out and try to make sure I can save as many things as possible if something should go terribly wrong. I live right in the path of this storm and I plan on taking go pro footage the entire time.. I am a thrill seeker anyhow so I figured I would try to add this one to my resume of crazy stunts... Wish me luck...
Looks like you all may see some tropical force winds over there.Hope the best for everyone on the East coast. I'm in Tampa and still pulled out the old generator just in case. Best of luck to everyone who plans to ride it out.
Thank you @tripdad much appreciated. Of course I just got delivery this week before the storm of a new Regal Angel and a Japanese Bella Goby.... hoping for the best....Hoping you all stay safe during this storm, looks like it could get rough. I have family in northern Fla., looks like they will be ok. Stay inside and stay safe and may the reefing gods smile on you all, good luck.
