i have a 10 gallon tank i need a new power head for as my coral is starting to grow and some near the other end of the tank are not getting enough flow now. its a 500 gph powerhead and i bought a additional identical one. would 1000 gph of water movement be to much for a 10 gallon?

This kind of situation is perfect for a wavemaker like the Jebao ELW-3m. Their max flow is 660gph, but they're fully programmable and can be turned down to 220gph with several different wave types, etc.

You could put one on each end of a 10g and dial them down while still getting variable flow through the whole tank.
