Hi All,

I have a Nuvo 40 IM tank with a Mighty jet 538 return pump. I have two MP10's running on it pictured below. I've been having a bit of trouble dialing in my flow. For those of you with similar tanks, where do you recommend I place my powerheads to get the best flow ? I currently run my MP10's in Lagoon mode (yellow) and my "plan" is below. I've tried running them between 10-90 % at different heights and it all seems the same to me....

Additional questions:
The two Return's - do you point these both at the surface? One at the surface one down? I know I want aeration, but how much? Should I run my return at full speed? It seems a bit much for this tank to run at 100%.

Thanks for your input/advice.

I have a 50-gal SCA FOWLR with two MP10s on the back left and right side surrounding the overflow. I recently removed all sand, now bare bottom and that lets me dial up the flow.

Have you checked out the short pulse mode to find the resonating frequency, creating a pulsing wave throughout?

At the moment I don't have a reeflink, so I'm just manually adjusting them and have not been able to play with any of the pulse settings. I probably will eventually though!

I'm sorry, that was very presumptuous of me. Yes, the ReefLink is where the MP10's features really shine, especially when it comes to dialing in a schedule and flow intensities.

They look pretty good where you have them right now. Just gotta find that sweet spot where they don’t stir up sand on the bottom and don’t siphon air from the top

Yeah my problem is that even if i run the MP10's at like 20% my frogspawn and coral on the bottom of the tank are moving around quite a bit. Not sure how much lower I can turn these guys down.
