guys I’m acclimating a diamond tail from DD and his bag has flukes. I’m adding to a qt and I plan on treating with prazi ASAP when he eats. Should I just add him? I’m worried about a freshwater dip, I’ve never done one and I don’t want to risk shocking him. Please help ASAP! Thanks!!!

Can you post a picture? Can you see flukes on the fish itself, or just stuff floating around?

One grabbed my pipette when I was testing sg. I put the pipette in fresh and he bailed off the pipette in 4 mins

Don’t see any visible on the fish

Is that a fluke? I'm not sure. Did it come off of a fish? See any like it on the fish?
I've got a DD shipment coming today. ;Shifty

I also have a shipment this week both tangs (lavender and scopas). I do a freshwater dip with methylone blue though but I am a bit nervous since my last shipment from them didn't turn out well (purple tang).

Doesn’t look like a fluke, but there have been some suspect “brown lumps” seen recently... that are VERY difficult to get rid of.

OP, does it look like this?

I'd say it does not look like the pic you posted. It's not uniform in shape like that, it's rigid around the edges and not oval or circular. As I said, fish had none so I added and plan to start prazi as soon as he eats for a day. So you don't think it's a fluke tho?

Ok thanks. I truly hope it's not this brown lump you mentioned. As I mentioned there are none on the fish presently visible but you know how that goes...Is there no way to treat them? Is there a thread dedicated to them? I'd like to see some more pics. Thanks so much for your immediate help, I truly appreciate it!

There was a couple threads that popped up at once a few weeks ago. I’m not sure they were updated recently... I’ll have to go back and check in.

I think if it’s not attached to the fish you are probably ok. These were attached like glue.
