Today, I welcome my newest fish, Eve the Aurora goby!
Additionally, I found a cool lithophyllon coral, and also bought my first SPS, an Acropora. I know they can be tough, but it was on sale for only $10, so I figured that this was a good opportunity to try one out. I also got a nice gorgonian.

It’s been one year since I began this tank, and one year since I joined Reef2Reef. And all I have to say is thank you. Thanks to this incredible forum and knowledgeable people. My tank has come a very long way, and I owe it to everyone on this amazing forum for their help. I began this without a clue in the world, and now, I truly feel part of this great reefing community! I could not have done this without all the amazing members of Reef2Reef!

I had to rescape today. My corals were at war and some began to die. I liked the openness of the previous one, but whatever keeps the corals alive…

I’m really mad at Luxo today. She killed Nemo, my favorite of the two clowns. Let this lesson be learned—clownfish pairs should not belong in Fluval 13.5 tanks….
EDIT: When removing the dead body, it began twitching, then swimming. Nemo is still alive, but in extremely critical condition. I’m going to try and save him, but things don’t look good at all.

Nemo’s been in poor condition, and his health has been declining these past few days. Last night, he passed away, likely due to starvation and gill damage. Nemo will definitely be missed, as he was my favorite of the two clowns. Now I can’t think of Luxo as anything but a big bully.

By the way, amid all the clownfish drama, I forgot to post about my new royal gramma, Zurg! He’s from petco, so the medication process will be a long and harsh one.

Odd wonder why the other clown killed the smaller one. I know I have 2 bonded pairs one doesn’t fight at all but my oldest pair still has drama where the female picks on the male from time to time

From what I know on cichlids, and clowns seem to follow suit, she must have decided that he wasn’t a suitable mate for a variety of reasons, usually involving not being good at protecting the nest. At least that’s how cichlids do it. Perhaps it is also breed dependent, designers are said to be meaner than wild type.

I changed it briefly in memorial of Nemo, and forgot to change it back. Don’t worry, the Luxo picture will return!!

There was unfortunately a bit of an accident last night when I did a water change. The left arch collapsed, and the rubble completely broke apart. Thus, I was unable to put it back the same way, so needed to do a slight rescape. How does it look?
