You should throw some cheap coral frags in there to see if the coral beauty will eat them. Heard its effectiveThe Fluval as of today is serving as a quarantine tank for a coral beauty angel and a Longnose Hawkfish. They seem very happy so far!
Maybe I can train it to eat XeniaYou should throw some cheap coral frags in there to see if the coral beauty will eat them. Heard its effective
Actually speaking of which. I never kept xenia for long. How does yours spread?Maybe I can train it to eat Xenia
my LFS told me the stubby ones grow to be smaller than the ones from the wild. Dont know if its true or notO_O
dont ocellaris and perculas only get 3.5 inches
Like a plague.Actually speaking of which. I never kept xenia for long. How does yours spread?
To add, it grows large then sends shoots out to make more, etc. You may also find polyps scattered about to make more.Like a plague.
The real problem is there’s no true way to manually remove it. Doing so seems to encourage spread…
At least it looks nice…
That makes sense. Stubby occelaris are in the same boat as all of the “balloon fish” and many fancy goldfish, they are selectively bred to have deformed spines which give them a smaller body.my LFS told me the stubby ones grow to be smaller than the ones from the wild. Dont know if its true or not
Should I be ashamed of myself? I spent $50 on a whole colony. Its so purty tho....Like a plague.

Sorry for the super blue picture but you get the idea. Almost fully covered 4x2 inch rock. Of course the Xenia makes it a whole lot bigger than that.
