The flex is a freshwater tank so the light might not be ideal if you are going to keep coral.

Yeah I would not be using the light. . . or the pump. . . or the lid haha

I think the a80 would be fine. The only thing is you need a special glass cleaner for curved glass tanks. Fluval makes one that works I'm pretty sure.

I’m not a big fan of tanks with curved glass viewing panes, like the Flex. To me, the curved glass distorts the livestock in the tank, but maybe this is just me.

The Fluvals are great tanks, but you’ll likely to want to upgrade a lot that comes with it, so I’d suggest going for the IM 10, 15 or newly re-release 20 long AIO’s. Then you can add whatever lights, media baskets, or other gear you want.

Good Luck!

Imo if you have the light, I would just go for the nuvo 15. I have that tank with an a80 on it.

FYI,
I have seen the Fluvall 32.5g in person filled and running and there is no viewable distortion. I'm guessing they accomplish this because the curve goes vertical from top to bottom instead of horizontal.
Or it could be because they keep the curve smaller to avoid the viewable distortion.
