fluval ps2 skimmer

I cannot find my receipt for my fluval ps2 protein skimmer so I cannot return it.
I now have a 45gal tank but would I be able to use this as an extra on this tank to help a little? Or I can’t use it.

I already have a protien skimmer on my tank but have no use for this fluval ps2 that I’m stuck with so was wondering if I should just add it to my tank even though it’s meant for 20gal tanks.

I’m aware it’s not going to do much for a tank this large but better to use it then to not use it at all even if it barely helps.

I say sell it or keep it for a future project. If you already have a skimmer going, then its more work than its worth to add this nano skimmer. IMO. Good luck
