HAHA! Not really, I mean, I don't think any of us are normal frankly, you either. ;) You do stare at water in a large glass container that you have added very strange items to, like fish that most of us have never seen in real life, nor would we eat such a small creature in the wild. Then to make matters worse, you add pieces of small animals that have been chopped into small pieces like they were condemned to the guillotine, and most of these animals don't move at all, but they do have pretty colors... Oh wait, that's only because we have created artificial lighting through technology so that we can pick and choose the frequency of the light that we put on top of our containers of glass just so the now-very-small animals that we glued to a piece of rock look shiny with different colors. Oh yeah, the animals don't move either. Well, some of them actually do move a little bit unless they have been glued in place. I could go on and on, but a couple more weird things about us; we would prefer to spend an unusually high amount of our discretionary income on things that go in the container, and under it too. Wait, did I say discretionary? I didn't mean to use that word, because that would imply that we actually spend the money that we have set aside specifically for our container animals and vegetables (we're the fruits on the outside looking in). I should have used words like this: we prefer to spend inordinate amounts of money on animals that could just die for no apparent reason, and we not only have words for this kind of death, we use the terms so much on our ridiculously expensive animals, dead or alive, that we have now developed acronyms for these types of death, like STN, RTN, and creatures/diseases that kill our animals too, AEFW and ich.
OK enough, point made. We are all weird, and we love it so much that when we aren't looking at our tanks, we find places where other people like us congregate and we hang out with each other day and night and talk about our animals all the time.
I am definitely crazy, and I love it. I'll never be able to get the salty taste out of my mouth now, or the "always 78.5-79.0 degree" blood outta my veins....o_Oo_Oo_O
